BD Shield Forms now gives you a searchable submissions inbox, layered spam protection, double opt-in for subscribers, and branded HTML emails. This guide covers each feature and where to find it.
Manage submissions
Every form submission is stored so nothing depends on email delivery alone. Open BD Forms → Submissions to work through them:
- Search and filter by keyword, date, or status.
- Pagination keeps long lists manageable.
- Export CSV to pull submissions into a spreadsheet or another tool.
Archive and private notes
Keep your inbox clean by archiving handled submissions instead of deleting them. Add private notes to any entry to record context for your team — notes are internal and never shown to the person who submitted.
Spam protection
Stop spam before it reaches your inbox with layered checks you control:
- BD AntiSpam integration — if BD AntiSpam is installed, Shield Forms passes submissions through it for scoring. Turn this on under Settings.
- Turnstile or reCAPTCHA — add a challenge for an extra layer. Both are optional and off by default, and they fail open so a provider outage never blocks your form.
These extras are off by default, so your live forms behave exactly as before until you enable them.
Double opt-in for subscribers
For newsletter sign-ups, turn on double opt-in so new subscribers confirm their address by clicking a link in a confirmation email. This keeps your list clean, cuts fake sign-ups, and supports GDPR consent records. It is off by default — enable it under Settings → Subscribers.
Branded HTML emails
Notification and confirmation emails are sent as branded HTML, so they look like part of your site instead of plain text. Recipients get a cleaner, more trustworthy message, which helps confirmation links get clicked.
Quick start
- Check the Submissions tab to confirm entries are being stored.
- Turn on BD AntiSpam integration if the plugin is installed.
- Add Turnstile or reCAPTCHA if you still see spam.
- Enable double opt-in for newsletter forms.
